Lu has over 10 years of public accounting experience with a focus in International Tax Services. She possesses considerable depth and breadth of outbound and inbound experience in all key areas of international tax planning, consulting, compliance and provisions, e.g., cross-border M&A, supply chain planning, tax treaty analysis, cash repatriation, Subpart F, foreign tax credit planning/foreign subsidiary tax basis calculations/modelings, Section 367/GRA, BEPS, and the anti-inversion regulations.
Lu’s career also includes a recent secondment to Shanghai, China, where she obtained working knowledge on Asia-Pac focused supply chain/procurement design, IP planning, Hong Kong offshore claims, cross-border cash pooling, etc. She also advised on China-based companies making domestic and overseas acquisitions and dispositions.
While her experience and knowledge extend well beyond U.S./China cross-border matters, she brings valuable strengths to BPM’s China Tax Services practice given her past experience and overall China background and focus.
Prior to joining BPM, Lu was Senior Manager, International Tax, at BDO. Prior to BDO, Lu spent more than seven years in Ernst & Young’s international tax practice.
Lu was born and raised in Beijing, China. She also loves movies and painting.
