Lu has over 12 years of experience with a focus on international inbound and outbound tax planning for multinational companies. She has substantial experience advising on tax planning, supply chain, tax-related intellectual property matters, Subpart F and foreign investment in U.S. real property.
The international provisions under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (the new tax law effective Jan. 1, 2018) have been her focus in the past year, including planning and modeling analysis under the Global Intangible Low-Taxed Income (“GILTI”) and Foreign Derived Intangible Income (“FDII”) rules.
Lu’s career also includes a recent secondment to Shanghai, China, where she obtained working knowledge on Asia-Pac focused supply chain/procurement design and IP planning, etc.
Prior to joining BPM, Lu was an International Tax Senior Manager at a national accounting firm. Lu also spent more than seven years in a Big 4’s international tax practice.
Lu is proficient in Mandarin Chinese. She enjoys movies and oil painting.
