Christine discovered her passion for business and accounting 20 years ago, when she was given the opportunity to work as an Accounting Specialist at Blackrock, a global asset manager headquartered in San Francisco. She spent several years there advancing her accounting skills in the capital markets arena; subsequently moving on to pursue her MBA and try her hand at public accounting. Christine discovered that, not only did she enjoy working as an accountant, but she especially enjoyed the external facing aspect of interacting with clients and developing positive relationships through value-added service.
She explored other career opportunities with a focus on accounting and finance. Over the last 15 years, she has held several managerial accounting positions across a variety of industries including nonprofit, retail-pharmaceutical, healthcare and technology.
In the past, Christine helped restructure the accounting system of a single entity organization into a multi-entity structure. Additionally, she implemented various system automations, turning on various enhancing features within the accounting system that had not been previously explored as well as established connectors with other systems and data sources.
She commonly helps clients find and implement various process efficiencies and system enhancements. Christine has been able to work with her team to reduce the amount of time to close the books from 10 days to 5 days.
She takes pride in her ability to easily step back and identify areas of opportunity in a process, whether through automation, custom reporting or eliminating non-value-add activities.
Christine currently holds the professional certification credential of Certified Management Accountant.
During her free time, Christine loves to study horticulture and work in the garden. She also enjoys volunteering and helping the elderly and disabled through various church outreach initiatives.
