Bob has over 25 years of experience providing tax services to a variety of clients, ranging in size from small, private companies to publicly-traded, Fortune 1000 firms. He also has a strong experience working with investment partnerships and their related companies.
Among Bob’s technical strengths are expertise in tax compliance services, accounting for income taxes, entity structuring, M&A consulting, compensation planning, international tax reporting, multi-state taxation, R&D tax credit and expense benefits, and uncertain tax positions and tax provisions. He has worked with a large number of venture capital funds, private equity firms and investment advisors, as well as with companies in the technology, life science, manufacturing, wholesale distribution and professional services sectors.
Bob is a collaborative professional who provides meaningful and team-oriented contributions to improve the financial performance of a company. He also positively drives important aspects of business, tax planning and strategy, tax accounting, audits and tax compliance services through implementation and perpetual improvement.
He is an alumnus of two Big-Four firms (PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young), BDO and myCFO, Inc. While at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Bob contributed as an author to PwC’s Montgomery’s Auditing Twelfth Edition and was integral in the creation of PwC’s initial accounting for income tax software (FAS 109), as well as other tax technology initiatives. Bob has served as a national and local tax instructor at PwC and Ernst & Young. He has instructed at Golden Gate University’s graduate tax program.
Robert Jinkins holds an active CPA license in California.
Bob is a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan who loves listening to music, fitness and hiking outdoors on a regular basis. He holds a second degree black belt in karate (traditional).
