A little insight into our new leaders:
Figueredo is the leader BPM’s Nonprofit Services Group and is a member of the Financial Services Group. He has13 years of experience providing auditing and consulting services to nonprofits, broker-dealers, venture capital funds, hedge funds, and other investment companies. His expertise includes fair value measurements, alternative investments, partnership accounting, complex contributions and capital campaigns, planned giving, endowments and UPMIFA, grant accounting, and tax-exempt bonds. He is a regular presenter for BPM’s Nonprofit Education Series and a visiting lecturer at the University of San Francisco’s McLaren College of Business. He is a Finance Committee Member for San Francisco Performances, and a member of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting, USF Young Alumni Association, AICPA, FASB Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee Resource Group, and an Ambassador for CalCPA.
Kalra is the leader of BPM’s Internal Controls Group. He has more than 14 years of experience providing information technology audit and internal controls services. His experience spans across various security standards and frameworks, including SSAE 16, ISO 27001, SOX 404, FedRamp, regulatory compliance, and PCI. He has developed security audit methodologies at BPM for evaluating security/compliance risks and exposures to complex on-premise and cloud implementations. Prior to joining BPM, he led departments at two international accounting firms and for several companies in technology, retail and financial industries. He has served clients in many industries and in various stages/situations, from startups to fortune 100. Sumit has worked as both the professional responsible for IT security and compliance as well as a service provider delivering such services to fortune 100. He is president of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Silicon Valley chapter; past Board member ISACA, and a member of the Software & Information Industry Association. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
