May 4, 2021 – SAN FRANCISCO — BPM, one of the 50 largest public accounting and advisory firms in the country, is listed as a member of the “2022 Vault Accounting 50,” a prestigious ranking of the nation’s top accounting firms as reported by accounting professionals. This is the eighth consecutive year that this fast-growing firm, which has seen major expansions into the Southern California market (among others) over the last year, has been recognized by Vault in its annual Accounting 50 list. The acknowledgment serves as an affirmation of BPM’s strategic emphasis on people, which the Firm has made explicit in its Because People Matter brand promise.

“Attracting top talent — whether for our competitive internship program or one of our innovative, full-service industry groups — is the pre-condition for our mission, which is to wow clients,” said Jim Wallace, Chief Executive Officer of BPM. “This ranking lets us know we’re doing the right things for our fantastic colleagues, and it will also help us continue to attract top colleagues to the Firm. We will continue to grow by listening to our colleagues to ensure we remain favorably recognized in our community by both our clients and our people alike.”

Vault, a business and career intelligence firm known for its influential rankings of thousands of top employers, produces the annual Accounting 50 list based on the first-hand experiences of thousands of industry professionals, who evaluate their firms on the issues they care about most, including firm culture, prestige and diversity.

Firm culture and colleagues were the top reasons why candidates chose to accept offers at BPM, with more than 50% of respondents reporting those as factors in their decisions to join or stay with the firm. Other areas where BPM received high marks include racial and gender diversity, ranking No. 7 and No. 8 on those metrics, as well as its wellness program (No. 14), relationships with supervisors (No. 15), and employee satisfaction (No. 19).

“We are pleased to see that our Firm focuses on innovation, diversity and belonging are having an impact,” said Robert Blasi, Chief People Officer at BPM. “Leveraging strategies and tools such outreach, partnerships and analytics, we have made material gains in diversifying our leadership team, our vendors and our Inclusion Now (IN!) committee. I am proud to serve a firm that supports formal engagement and inclusivity programs. I have no doubt that they are important drivers in making our firm a place where all of our colleagues can feel comfortable and supported.”
