BPM strongly condemns hatred, racism, xenophobia, and discrimination against any person or group and stands in solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. We are shocked and saddened by the ongoing attacks, including the most recent violent incident earlier this week where eight people were killed, including six women of Asian descent. The sharp rise in violent and xenophobic incidents against Asians, Asian-Americans and people of Asian descent since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic is inexcusable. There is no place for hatred in our society, and we should be united in standing against racism in all its forms. It is our responsibility to raise our voice against prejudice and work towards a shared understanding and mutual respect for all people.
