BPM’s Dmitri Alexeev, Tax Partner and Digital Assets and Blockchain Industry Group Co-Leader, moderated an Accounting Blockchain Coalition (ABC) webinar on January 31, 2020 that touched on 1099s and Cryptocurrency. Five industry experts shared their insights and information, as well as answered some questions from the blockchain community about digital assets tax reporting.

In the webinar, panelists answered questions, such as: “What’s the most important trend you are seeing in non-income tax reporting?”and “What’s the biggest change in non-income tax reporting for digital assets and blockchain companies over the last year or so?”

Information also touched on it the video include new IRS virtual currency guidance, Revenue Ruling 2019-24, the impacts on individual and business filers, tax controversy, industry trends and emerging issues, as well as best practices.
