2019 Best Firm Move Project LogoThe Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance and American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants Recognized the West Coast Firm, among others

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – BPM, one of the 50 largest public accounting and advisory firms in the country, has been recognized as a 2019 Best CPA Firms for Women by the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA) and American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants (AWSCPA).

BPM is one of just 14 accounting firms that received the recognition for positively changing office culture, creating common ground for shared wins among leaders, breaking barriers in the workplace and reinforcing the unique value of women’s programs and trainings.

At BPM, 26% of Partners are women and 40% of the Management Committee is women. The Firm’s win!, Women’s Initiative Now!, program creates opportunities that encourages women leadership participation, ensures a culture that enhances the retention and recruitment of women, and elevates female employees to maximize their visibility and influence at the Firm.

“We value diverse leadership teams, and know they are a driver of success,” said Michelle Ausburn, BPM’s win! Partner chair. “We’re proud of the contributions of our female leaders and the impact they have on our community, Firm and clients.”

AFWA emphasized BPM’s diverse group of women are opening new markets for the Firm by parlaying their knowledge of culture and specialized technical expertise to rapidly build relationships with new clients.

A full summary of the 2019 Accounting MOVE Project is available on the AFWA website.

“BPM consistently identifies business development strategies that power rising women to partnership, based on the intersection of each woman’s unique cultural strengths, skills and goals,” said Joanne Cleaver, President of Wilson-Taylor Associates, Inc. and project manager of the Accounting MOVE Project. “Through its participation in the Accounting MOVE Project, BPM sets a high standard for the entire accounting and advisory profession and shows other firms how investing in women is investing in the entire firm.”

BPM has received the “Best CPA Firm for Women” recognition every year since 2015 for providing three-dimensional support in the form of business development skills, budget for special programs and plenty of scheduling flexibility that creates long-last client relationships.
