John Panetta has over 20 years of experience in the exempt organizations tax area. He provides exempt organizations with a wide variety of tax and business consulting services, including: Income tax planning, IRS/state tax audit representation, intermediate sanctions planning and compliance, reorganization planning and consulting, Unrelated business tax planning, assistance with legislative activity, multi-corporate transaction planning, and private foundation domestic and foreign expenditure planning.
John's clients include colleges and universities, healthcare organizations, governmental and quasi-governmental entities, public charities, private foundations, unions, trade associations, and other types of exempt organizations. John has led the Western Area Exempt Organizations Tax Practice of an international professional services firm previously. He also served with the Exempt Organizations Branch of the IRS National Office. A frequent lecturer, John has served as an adjunct faculty member of the School of Taxation at Golden Gate University, and as a visiting lecturer at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
